• American Legion baseball is the oldest, largest and most widely recognized nationwide baseball program in America with over 10 million players since its beginnings in 1925.

• More than 50% of all Major League players and 80% of all college players played American Legion baseball as a teenager.

The St. Louis Amateur Baseball Association (SLABA) was established in 1987 and began play in 1988.  SLABA continues to provide high school players in the St. Louis metro area with a cost-effective, high-level summer baseball experience.

SLABA’s founding principles of promoting sportsmanship, fellowship and the development of youth through baseball-related activities year-round continue to serve as the basis of the league today.

Hundreds of former SLABA players have gone on to play in every level of college and pro baseball.  Currently, former SLABA players in Major League Baseball include Ross Detwiler, David Freese, Ryan Howard, Dave Phelps and Max Scherzer.

The St. Louis Men’s Baseball League was started in 1996 as a non-profit recreational organization dedicated to providing an opportunity for men over 18 years of age in the St. Louis Metropolitan area to play real baseball in a competitive, professionally-run environment, and enjoy the camaraderie of other serious-minded amateur players from all walks of life, economic statuses and ethnic backgrounds.  The only requirement is that they love the game of baseball.

St. Louis Baseball Forever League is men’s adult amateur recreational baseball, servicing players and teams in the St. Louis, Missouri, Metropolitan Area.

The St. Louis Baseball Forever League (STLBFL), in conjunction with its affiliate partner Roy Hobbs Baseball, promotes baseball, senior baseball and sportsmanship for men 45 years of age and older and is active in charitable activities. We provide league management, professional umpires and excellent playing facilities.

Members play in well-organized local leagues and have the opportunity to compete in a variety of in-state, regional, and national tournaments.

As part of its mission, the league serves members of the St. Louis recreational community, by providing an alternative or adjunct to softball and other sports and leisure activities.

The STLBFL is a not-for-profit recreational sports organization.
